CYCLING BALTICS – three countries, three cultures, hundreds of impressions
Indulging combination of cognitive, experiential and recreational cycling riding across all three Baltic States – Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia – with carefully selected stops:
The cycling will include the city tours in all three capital cities – Vilnius, Riga, Tallinn, historic viewpoints with specific Baltic castles and manors, nature rides with changing scenery of the Baltic coastline, lakes, aromatic pine forests, endless rye fields and ethnic villages.
Total distance by bike: 410 km. Distance includes non-busy roads as bicycle roads, paved roads, forest paths, gravel paths.

DAY 1. VILNIUS (40km by bike)

Exploring capital of Lithuania – Vilnius
Cycling city tour starting from the hotel, riding through main streets of the Old Town, along the river Neris, reaching out to the secret gems of its outskirts.
Lunch at the Farmers Market including tastings of local cheese and wine
Folk dinner with traditional entertainment

DAY 2. TRAKAI-KAUNAS (50km by bike)
Exploring ancient capital of Lithuania –Trakai
Bus ride to Senieji Trakai
Countryside cycling undulating along lake sides, ancient forest tracks and sites of Medieval and modern history.
Guided boat tour around the Lake Galvė and Trakai castle island
Lunch at a local place of exceptional ethnic minority Karaims including tastings of their ethnic dishes.

Bus ride to the Baltic Sea coast
Dinner and overnight at a camping on the coast of the Curonian Bay.
DAY 4. CURONIAN SPIT (60km by bike)
Exploring unique natural spot – Curonian Spit
Boat ride to Nida, last town on the Curonian spit.
Long meditational cycling tour from Nida to Klaipėda along both coasts of the Spit with changing scenery of pine trees, sand dunes, fishermen villages, bird colonies.
